The FA Matchday App User Guide

The FA Matchday App is a tool that all coaches and parents/players should be using this season!

Here is a little video of the club made in partnership with The FA and PayPal about the app and the benefits to the club.

The key elements are:

  1. Make payments for your player registration fees
  2. See forthcoming fixtures
  3. See previous results
  4. View league tables
  5. Notify your coach of your player’s availability for each game
  6. Directions to away games

Phase 1. Downloading & Logging In

In order to get yourself onto the app, there a few simple steps required. Please make sure you have completed your 2021/22 player registration form before attempting to login to the app.

Step 1. Download the App

You can download the app for iOS here and for Android here.

Step 2. Login

If you already have a password attached to your FA account, you can just login with your email address and password.

Most of you however do not have this set up, so you’ll need to request a password reset in order to create a password.

Please note, if you are new to the club, we have to manually add you in so please wait until you’ve received an email from The FA requesting your permission for Wellesbourne Wanderers to sign your child before contacting us for assistance.

The easiest way to reset the password is by using The FA’s reset tool here. Follow the instructions in the email you receive and once reset, you’ll then be able to login to the app.

Step 3. Select your Player

Once you’ve logged in, simply select the player you want to access and it’ll let you into the app.

Step 4. Any Issues

If you do experience any issues, please check the following:

  1. That you are using the email address you provided on your child’s registration form to access the app or request a password reset
  2. Only 1 parent per child (at the moment) can use the app, so if both parents want access, you’ll have to share details so you can both use the app

If you are still struggling, then please join the Support Group setup on WhatsApp where the Club technical lead on the app, Simon, can assist with any issues quickly and get you logged in. If you don’t have access to WhatsApp, please email us instead.

Phase 2. Paying your Fees

Paying your Childs fees are super simple and with payments being processed by PayPal you can be confident your data is safe.

Step 1.

After logging in tap the Payments tab at the bottom and then press the yellow “Annual Fees” button.

Step 2.

You should then see your fees due (this amount may differ if this child is set as the sibling). Tap the yellow button circled.

Step 3.

This should then show you a summary of what you are going to purchase. Tap the yellow Pay button, which will take you to the PayPal site to continue the transaction. DO NOT use the grey button. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can checkout as a guest.

Step 4.

Login to your PayPal account and proceed to the card screen.

Step 5.

Once you’ve chosen the method of payment scroll down to the blue PAY NOW button and complete the transaction.

Step 6.

All being well, the payment should complete, you receive a receipt email and then be redirected back to app.
